Even though this has a true gospel message i dont think that this is the right thing for christians to do …in my humble opinion its too worldly …whats wrong with good old fashioned BIBLICAL preaching ?
I would have to humbly disagree. Many of the hymns we sing today were from old folk songs and even pub tunes of the day. They were the prevalent musical styles of the day.
I agree with you, Dale, that preaching is God’s ordained means for the proclamation of the Gospel, and shai linne would never attempt to supplant. However the aim of music like this is to encourage believers to keep the Word on their minds. Indeed, nothing is a substitute for biblical preaching!
Its ok to disagree Doug …Im reminded of Aleister Crowley’s boast that he would corrupt the minds of the youth in this country through music …When the hymns we sing today were written as far as im aware there was no-one around that set out to do that through music then.
The christian exposure on the music industry ” They sold their souls for rock and roll ” is an education. You can watch it on you tube.
Christians should stear well clear of worldly music for the above reasons.

I would have to agree with the above comment, it’s the right message but wrong delivery method, I really believe that.
It’s too worldly indeed….
